Caritas of Waco
We were recounting how fortunate we are to have weathered the economic storms when our thoughts turned to those who aren't so lucky. So we started brainstorming on how we could assume our share of the responsibility for our local community.
That discussion led us to the Caritas of Waco, which, through donations, direct purchases from the Capital Area Food Bank and help from countless volunteers, provides meals for thousands of Central Texans each year. When they informed us they were falling short of their goal to provide an average of 85lbs of food per client family, we decided to jump in and help pick up the slack.
Today, $25 of every completed job goes directly to the Caritas of Waco. That should amount to somewhere in the neighborhood of $9,000 per year at the current pace.
That's a lot of meals served. And you can feel good knowing you helped make it happen.
